You say you want No ID for beer cuz you don't have any kids... They will cure you of this desire!

referring to the post of anonymous: teenage drinking is not a problem in Belgium unlike US. Despite beer being available freely, kids hardly buy beer. Even with strict regulations kids who want to drink will do so. The way to stop this has to do with educating them correctly, rather than trying to use legal deterrence.

Bipin's right! I happen to live in Ieper. I take the train several times a week. Haven't seen many drunk teenagers round the vending machines.

Seems like you had a good time. Belgium is the place for beer. For a small country like that, its astonishing that they produce more than 400 types of beer, and each with their own unique glasses. Hoegarden, Westmalle, Duvel, Koninck, Krik are amazing. Don't know if you went to Brugge, abt an hour from Brussels. A cafe called "Brugse Beertje" there is just amazing!
